We selected some of our favourite micro-touring routes around Zagreb if you want to make short bike trips.
1. Two steering wheels (2 Volana)
A sweet ride through the Vukomerić Hills (affectionately known as Vukić), a beloved and well-ridden destination for Zagreb’s cyclists
2. Coffee in Pantera
A standard ride towards the Vukomerić Hills, but just before the actual climb you can sit down for a coffee and decide to head back home
3. Martinska Ves (towards Sisak)
A recommended scenic, flat ride along a quiet road following the Sava River toward Sisak. The .gpx track ends at Martinska Ves, where you can cross the river via a one-way bridge. If you feel like riding a bit further to Sisak to see how the town looks after the 2020 earthquake, you can always take the train back to Zagreb
4. Samobor´s donuts
Samobor is a charming little town not far from Zagreb, famous for its donuts in february and custard slices/cremeschnitten in summer months. After indulging, though, you’ll need to burn off those calories with a slightly bigger loop
5. Vukic Super Gravel
A sweet ride through the Vukomerić Hills (affectionately known as Vukić), a beloved and well-ridden destination for Zagreb’s cyclists
